The studio

Six brokers. No juniors.

Everyone here photographs the house they sell, walks the floor plan with the buyer, and answers the phone at eight in the morning. There is no call centre and nobody handing your file upstairs.

Imogen Vance, Founding Principal

Imogen Vance

Founding Principal

Imogen founded Alder & Row on a simple observation: the houses she loved most were the ones nobody had bothered to list properly. She still shoots every listing herself, still walks every block she sells in, and still answers the phone at seven in the morning.

“A house is a story with rooms in it. My job is to make sure the right people are in the room when they read it.”
Tobias Okonkwo, Partner, Modern & Architectural

Tobias Okonkwo

Partner, Modern & Architectural

A former development surveyor, Tobias reads a floor plan the way most people read a menu. He has represented more than forty builder-led projects across the city, and his listing notes are known for being the only ones that include the structural engineer.

“Buyers do not fall for finishes. They fall for the decision somebody made about light.”
Saoirse Lindqvist, Partner, West Seattle & Waterfront

Saoirse Lindqvist

Partner, West Seattle & Waterfront

Saoirse grew up on a boat and never entirely left the water. She has a standing arrangement with two of the city's most reliable weather-window forecasters, which is how her waterfront clients know exactly when to view a house at its best.

“You do not show a view house at two in the afternoon. You show it at five, when the light turns.”
Marcus Reyes, Senior Agent, New Development

Marcus Reyes

Senior Agent, New Development

Marcus runs the off-market desk. Roughly a third of Alder & Row's transactions never appear on a listing portal, and he is the reason why — a decade of relationships with owners who would rather not be listed at all.

“The best house on your street is the one the owner never took off the market.”
Naomi Adeyemi, Agent, Relocation & First Purchases

Naomi Adeyemi

Agent, Relocation & First Purchases

Naomi came to real estate from corporate mobility, and it shows in the best way: she treats a move the way a good operations team treats a relocation, with checklists, timelines and no surprises on either side of the move.

“Nobody should be surprised by a closing date. Surprise is just bad planning in a nicer outfit.”
Wren Kestrel, Agent, Land & Country Properties

Wren Kestrel

Agent, Land & Country Properties

Wren handles the properties that do not have street numbers: acreage, parcels, and old farmsteads with a well and a plan for the next hundred years. He is a patient surveyor, a practical builder, and a genuinely unreasonable chess player.

“Land is the only asset you can leave in a plan and find improved a year later.”

How we work

The same four things, every time

It is a small method, and it is the reason we can put a badge on a listing and mean it.

01 — Walk

In person

Every listing is visited within thirty days of going live. We are in the rooms, not reading a floor plan.

02 — Price

Against closed sales

We check six months of comparable closings before a price goes on the page, and we say so when we cannot reach it.

03 — Photograph

With a tripod

No wide-angle distortion, no evening light pretending to be afternoon. If the room was dim, we came back.

Work with us

We hire slowly, and we train in the field.

If you want to spend your weeks inside houses rather than behind a desk, send us a note. We read every one.
